"An electronic portfolio, also known as an e-portfolio or digital portfolio, is a collection of electronic evidence assembled and managed by a user, usually on the Web." - from Reference.com

Introduction

Portfolios have been used for years to showcase student's work. The most common subject areas have been in art and writing. Gauging knowledge and comprehension has been through the traditional question and answer methods. Careful consideration must be taken in preparing assessments to include the appropriate skills of Bloom's taxonomy . Bloom's Digital Taxonomy illustrates skills necessary for the 21st Century learner in correlation to Bloom's Revised Taxonomy. An e-portfolio is a tool to capture and display work allowing the learner to use creativity which is at the top in the higher order thinking skills (HOTS).
