Visual presentations have been around in the classroom beginning with the use of the chalkboard and chalk. Teachers used this medium to display the solving of math problems, language mechanics, science formulas and more. Later the overhead projector was a new technology that added more interaction with ease. Teachers could pre-print or copy information on a sheet, then write and wipe.
The introduction of Microsoft PowerPoint brought a new era of creating and presenting information. Probably the most widely used software application for the novice and advanced. It has built-in templates that conforms us to present information in a certain way. Over the past years, more and more are we looking outside of the box to create presentations still with this application.
Other technological advances have brought interactive whiteboards to the classroom; while Presentations 2.0 have brought our creativity and instruction to the world.
