Introduction

RSS (Really Simple Syndication) is a web standard for alerting people when a particular news website or blog has been updated. Updates, or “feeds,” appear as brief headlines or titles within an RSS viewing environment or “reader” or "aggregator." While many email programs can function as RSS readers, users often prefer to use a purpose-built reader such as google reader or bloglines to follow favorite feeds.

Popular RSS Readers/Aggregators

  1. Google Reader
  2. Bloglines
  3. Newsgator

Great page. I made a few suggested modifications to headings, to keep it more in line with the formatting guide.
